JESSICA OLANG

Varsity Head Coach

Jessi Olang is a graduate of Catasauqua High School where she and her family were instrumental in launching the volleyball program. She was a 4 year varsity setter, 3 year captain. During her time at Catty, Coach Jessi was named 1st Team All- District 3 times and 2 time Honorable Mention All-State. 


She went on to play for Roberts Wesleyan College where she was a 4 year starting setter, Junior year Team Chaplain, and Senior Team Captain of her Division 1 NCCAA/NAIA volleyball team. She received the 2003 RWC Coach’s award and the 2004 Sportsmanship award. In 2005 and 2006, she was named to the AMC Conference 2nd Team, AMC Scholar Athlete, and AMC All Conference Team- Honorable Mention. As a senior captain, Coach Jessi lead her team to an AMC Conference Championship Title. 


Coach Jessi began coaching volleyball at 18 years old and has never stopped. Beginning with coaching club volleyball at Crosscourt Volleyball Club, where she also played for 9 years, and in 2007 becoming the JV coach at Dieruff High School, where she also taught math. In 2009, she became the head coach until marrying and moving to NY in 2011. 


While building a family and a business with her husband, Jimmy, Coach Jessi continued to volunteer coach with Crosscourt, Velocity Boys Volleyball Club and Northampton Boys Volleyball. She has also spent the last 3 club seasons coaching her own daughter and son on the Crosscourt U12 team. 


Coach Jessi is thrilled to “return” to Emmaus, as she grew up watching her mom, Sue Arndt, coach Emmaus Girls Volleyball from 1991-1999. Including witnessing the programs only District Championship title in 1995. As an Emmaus resident with 4 kids in the school district, she is excited to suit up in green and gold and officially join the Hornet family!
