EMILY ELEK

Varsity Assistant Coach

Emily graduated from Emmaus High School in 2009 and was a middle hitter/defensive specialist for the Emmaus Girls Volleyball team all four years! She earned numerous awards throughout her high school career ending her senior season as the District 11 MVP and the Lehigh Valley Conference MVP.

She went on to play at the NCAA Division 1 level at Canisius College as an outside/right side hitter and defensive specialist.  Shortly before her freshman season she did suffer an ACL tear resulting in a Medical Redshirt Freshman Season.  This was a blessing in disguise allowing her the time to switch majors from Biochemistry to Athletic Training/Sports Medicine.  She graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine with a minor in Health and Human Performance.

After a very successful athletic and academic career at Canisius, she was nominated for 2014 NCAA Division I Woman of the Year. Upon graduation from Canisius, Emily went on to become a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Sacred Heart University for the women's soccer and softball teams while earning her Master's Degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition.

Throughout her college years she began coaching at camps and clinics, and then started coaching club volleyball when she returned to the Lehigh Valley.  She coached for Crosscourt Volleyball Club for 5 years (2018-2022) and was so happy to start her club coaching career at the club where she started her club volleyball career!! She is beyond excited to start this adventure at her alma mater and being a part of this awesome coaching staff back at Emmaus!!
